Chad
Chad was raised in a missionaries home, spending the majority of his life in Africa and Holland. Chad' grandfather (Everett Phillips) was the first Assemblies of God missionary to Nigeria, in 1939. Chad's parents returned to Africa in 1960. When Chad was 4 months old he started his MK experience. In 1976 God redirected the Phillips family from Africa to Europe! In 1985, during Chad's junior year of high school, his father (Donald Phillips) passed away of a massive heart attack. Chad's mother (Theola Phillips) continued in missions for another 15 years, serving in Singapore. After high school, The American School of The Hague, Chad went to North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, MN. He spent four year earning Degree in Pastoral Studies. It was at North Central Bible College, now named (North Central University) that Chad met his beautiful bride, Dargan. Following Bible school, Chad went to Aurora First Assembly of God in Aurora, Colorado, to work as a youth pastor, under the leadership of Pastor Howard Cummings. In May of 1992, Chad and Dargan were married in Raleigh, North Carolina. After 3 years in Aurora, God directed him to Christian Center, in Brussels, Belgium. Chad and Dargan went to Brussels as Missionary Associates in 1994, to work with the youth at Christian Center. It was during this time that Katherine was born. In 1998 Chad and Dargan received their appointment as missionaries to Europes Youth.
Dargan
Dargan comes from a military home. Her father, William Graham, spent twenty-two years in the United States Air Force. Because of that, Dargan moved frequently as she was growing up. She has spent some years in Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Germany. After she graduated from high school in North Carolina, she spent one year at Peace College, in Raleigh, NC, singing in the all-girls choir.
Katherine (Emily Katherine)
Katherine was born on September 11th, 1996. She was born in Brussels, Belgium... our little Brussels Sprout! She loves her ballet classes! She was enrolled in a Belgian, French-speaking school last year, and is currently home schooled (while on furlough). She started the French school in September of 2002, knowing absolutely NO French, after the International Christian Academy was shut down. Her Belgian teacher told us that she was doing excellent learning French. We pray she can continue her love for the French language. She loves playing "dress up" and Barbie dolls.
Graham (Graham Everett)
Graham was born on November 24th, 1999 in Raleigh North Carolina while the Phillips family was on furlough. Graham too was in a French speaking pre-school! He is a typical male toddler! He loves to run and jump and make LOTS of noise! He keeps us all very busy trying to keep up with him. He loves playing with his "Bob the Builder" toys, and all his "Thomas the Tank" engines. Home schooling Katherine in the various hotel rooms around the country has proved to be an interesting experience with Graham in the room!
