Bethany College

Children of missionaries are eligible to receive institutional grants for up to fifty-percent of tuition at Bethany College based on need. We require documentation of active missionary or home missions status from the parents of applicants. Our scholarship policy is currently under comprehensive review. No changes to the missionary scholarship is planned at this time, but please contact our office or the Office of Financial Aid for details and updates.

Continental Theological Seminary

[Note: exclusive of books and travel the TOTAL cost for the BA (Hons) Degree would be $19,500.00]

A European BA degree is a THREE YEAR degree.

MTh Degree: Annual charges tuition/room/board (all inclusive): $8985.00
[Note: exclusive of books and travel the TOTAL cost for the MTh Degree would be $7,800.00]

All Masters coursework can be completed in ONE YEAR; afterwards the MTh thesis is submitted.

PhD: To be arranged jointly between CTS and the University of Wales

Central Bible College

Evangel University

Evangel offers a 50% discount for Assemblies of God Missionary Kids. They require you to fill out a form, and have it signed by your parents and the Missionary Kids Ministry Office. You can download the form here:

North Central University

MK discount policy, as of winter of 2007:

Minister and Minister Dependent Discount/
Missionary and Missionary Dependent Discount

MK Scholarship is $2500/year. Students must maintiain full time (12 hours) and 2.0 GPA. Parents must be in Active status as foreign missionaries and have been ordained for at least 2 years before applying to school.

Students who are eligible for the above discounts in the Assemblies of God or Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada receive an automatic 10 percent tuition discount* (The minister or missionary must have been licensed or ordained at least two years for this discount to apply.)

Discounts up to 50 percent of tuition for ministers and up to 60 percent of tuition for missionaries are available depending on financial need. Need is determined by data gathered from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Other approved denominations: students who are eligible for the above discounts will receive an automatic 5 percent tuition discount. Discounts up to 25 percent of tuition for minister and 30 percent for missionaries are available depending on financial need. Need is determined by data gathered from the FAFSA. Minister or missionary must be currently involved in a vocational full-time ministry position to be eligible for this discount.

*Please note, Minister, Minister Dependent, Missionary, and Missionary Dependent Discounts have application deadlines for the fall and spring semesters. Contact the Admissions or Financial Aid Office to obtain these application dates.

Northwest University

Northwest Missionary Tuition Credit
Available to: Incoming Freshmen and Transfer students.

Eligibility: Must be a full time missionary, spouse of a missionary, or a dependent of a missionary outside of the United States under appointment of a recognized Missions Board.

Amount: Up to 50% of tuition, based upon other Institutional aid received.

Renewal: Must re-apply for financial aid and maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Application: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Northwest University Financial Aid Application.

Southeastern University

Missionary Dependent Scholarships
Children of appointed Assemblies of God Foreign and National Home Missionaries
who itinerate for their support and who serve on a full-time basis are eligible for a scholarship of 25% of their tuition each semester provided they remain single and have not
reached their 24th birthday. Children of any Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC)
appointed foreign or home missionaries are included in this scholarship. Full-time
enrollment is required. Applications are available in the college Business Office.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University

Missionary Dependent

CRITERIA: Dependent child or spouse of living or deceased nationally appointed foreign or home AG missionary (if deceased, spouse cannot be remarried). Dependent Children, who are full-time undergraduate students, are eligible for the grant. Spouses, who are full-time undergraduate or graduate students, are eligible for the grant. Missionaries themselves are not eligible for the Missionary’s Dependent grant but may be eligible for the Ordained Minister’s Grant.

AMOUNT: 50% of the average full time tuition package. Actual amount of the grant can be obtained from the Financial Aid Office.

Trinity Bible College

CRITERIA: AGWM MKs can qualify for a 75% tuition discount as of the 2008-2009 school year. You will need to fill out the online entrance application and clearly mark that your parents are missionaries.

Valley Forge

Valley Forge will now offer all appointed missionaries’ dependents a 50% tuition scholarship, starting August 2006. On top of the 50% tuition discount, VFU offers a $1,000 renewable MK Achievement Scholarship. The Achievement Scholarship is for MKs who have been unable to earn scholarships with Fine Arts, but have been involved in the ministry overseas. It is renewable annually. MKs can also qualify for music scholarships and academic scholarships! Contact the admissions office for more details.

Vanguard University of Southern California

Ministry Dependent Grant: up to $1000. Available to full time undergraduate dependent students whose parents are involved in full time Christian service as ordained and licensed ministers or missionaries. Requires financial aid need. Limited to students whose primary family income is derived from parents’ ministry involvement. Needs Based Funds available that most MKs qualify for when entering this university.
